DUORUM O.LEUCURA RED
Producer Notes 2012
"Field blend" of old vines with a predominance of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca.
The grapes from the old vineyards are sorted/selected on arrival at the winery, being selected and later destemmed. This is followed by low temperature pre-fermentative maceration using robotized treading in stainless steel presses. They are then taken to temperature controlled stainless steel vats where the alcoholic fermentation ends. During this, the usual reassembly and delestage works are carried out aiming at the rigorous and selective extraction of the constituents of the film. Vinification ends with a long post-fermentative maceration. The masses remain in contact with the must for a maximum of 18 days.
Very intense and deep red color. Intense, concentrated and complex aroma, dominated by ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and "cassis", very lively and floral aromas, such as violet and complexed by the aromas from its "elevation" in barrel. there are also some aromas characteristic of the evolution in the bottle, which contribute to further increase its great complexity.
