CRASTO SUPERIOR WHITE
Producer notes 2018
60% Viosinho; 40% Verdelho
The grapes, from the Douro Superior, were transported in boxes of capacity and subjected to rigorous sorting at the entrance to the cellar. They were subsequently destemmed and pressed. The pressed wort was transferred to a stainless steel vat where it was kept at a temperature of 8ºC for 48 hours until decanting. Then the alcoholic fermentation started in a stainless steel vat and then the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where the fermentation ended at a temperature of 14ºC for a period of 45 days.
Lemon colored wine with light golden touches. A fresh and seductive wine is shown on the nose with excellent citrus notes very well integrated with light floral notes and vibrant minerality. It evolves in the mouth tasting for a serious wine and excellent volume, standing out for its excellent freshness and minerality. A wine that finishes very balanced and persistent, with excellent aging potential in the bottle.
