Making the Wine:
This wine was crafted from a select blend of Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira grape varieties, undergoing fermentation in temperature-controlled French oak vats prior to a period of cold maceration. A further extended maceration drove the wine's robust structure, with a twenty-month maturation stage in new French oak casks and a long bottle ageing process endowing it with the ideal combination of balance and ripeness.
Deeply garnet coloured, this wine oozes with a complex, gripping aroma which intermingles black fruit scents with delicate hints of spice, cigar smoke and charred wood. The mouth is distinctively structured, springing into alluring freshness infused with a delightfully persistent core of harmony - already a hallmark of Altas Quintas wines.
