Selection of plots of old vines from 15 to 25 years old, from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. Poor yields of 40 HL/ha average.
Mostly clay-calcareous. Plots of Rioja Alta with ferrous sub-soil.
Atlantic, temperate, with differentiated seasons.
Plot to plot, fully manual.
Clusters squeezed and destemmed. Fermentation alcoholic at controlled temperature that starts at 10ºC until reaching 28ºC. Maceration with skins extended up to 20 days. Malo-lactic fermentation in stainless steel tank. Once the malo-lactic fermentation is finished, all the wines go to barrels with trasiega every 6 months.
TOTAL STAY IN CASK
12 months in cleaved French and American oak barrels. They are 25% of new barrels, 25% of barrels of two years, 25% of barrels of three years and 25% of barrels of four years maximum.

1 year minimum prior to release date.
It grows each year affirming a privileged value because it always fulfills its promise. Not for nothing they qualify as reference of the range. Nose of cherry, vanilla, toasted almost soft. The mouth is delivered with harmony, weave a plot where soft, ripe and sweet tannins indulge in a living fruit. Long in mouth with volume for the delight of the palate.
Operating temperature 16ºC.
Alcoholic graduation of 13.5% Vol.
